کورونا وائرس کے مریضوں میں اضافے سے افغانستان میں امریکی ویزا آپریشن معطل

کابل: افغانستان میں امریکی سفارتی مشن نے ملک میں کورونا وائرس کے بڑھتے ہوئے معاملوں کے پیش نظر اتوار سے ویزا آپریشن معطل کردیا ہے۔
امریکی سفارتخانہ نے ایک بیان میں کہا کہ "فی الحال کورونا وائرس پھیلنے کے پیش نظر سفارت خانہ کے مشاورتی سیکشن میں 13 جون سے ویزا کے تمام آپریشن معطل رہیں گے”۔ بیان میں یہ بھی کہا گیا ہے کہ جن کا شیڈول طے ہو گیا ہے وہ ویزا آپریشن دوبارہ شروع ہوتے ہی انہیں دوبارہ ترتیب دے سکیں گے۔
سفارتی مشن نے کہا کہ "ہم درخواست دہندگان کو ہونے والی تکلیف محسوس کرسکتے ہیں اور اس پر ہمیں افسوس ہے کیونکہ ہم اپنے ملازمین اور درخواست دہندگان کی صحت کی حفاظت کو سب سے مقدم رکھتے ہیں”۔
سفارت خانہ نے کہا کہ امریکی حکومت بہر صورت افغانستان اور عالمی سطح پر کورونا وائرس کے انفیکشن کو روکنے کے لئے اپنی پوری کوشش جاری رکھے گی۔
قابل ذکر ہے کہ اب تک افغانستان میں کورونا وائرس کے 87 ہزار سے زیادہ معاملے ہوچکے ہیں اور 60500 افراد اس وبا شفایاب ہوچکے ہیں جبکہ 3412 مریض فوت ہوئے ہیں۔
