بی آر ایس لیڈر کویتا 9 اپریل تک عدالتی حراست میں

نئی دہلی: دہلی شراب پالیسی 2021-2022 کے مبینہ گھوٹالہ سے متعلق منی لانڈرنگ کیس میں گرفتار بھارت راشٹر سمیتی (بی آر ایس) کے قانون ساز کونسل کی رکن کویتا کو منگل کو 9 اپریل تک عدالتی حراست میں بھیج دیا گیا۔
انفورسمنٹ ڈائریکٹوریٹ (ای ڈی) کی حراست کی مدت پوری ہونے کے بعد محترمہ کویتا کو راؤز ایونیو میں واقع کاویری باویجا کی خصوصی عدالت میں پیش کیا گیا، جہاں سے انہیں عدالتی تحویل میں بھیجنے کا حکم دیا گیا۔ محترمہ کویتا مبینہ طور پر رشوت لینے کے معاملے میں ای ڈی کی حراست میں ہیں۔
اس سے پہلے 16 مارچ کو اسی عدالت نے انہیں پوچھ گچھ کے لیے دو ہفتے کے لیے ای ڈی کی حراست میں بھیج دیا تھا۔
مرکزی تفتیشی ایجنسی ای ڈی نے 46 سالہ قانون ساز کونسلر کویتا کو 15 مارچ کو حیدرآباد میں ان کی رہائش گاہ سے گرفتار کیا تھا۔
قانون ساز کونسلر کویتا تلنگانہ کے سابق وزیراعلی اور بی آر ایس سربراہ کے۔ چندر شیکھر راؤ کی بیٹی ہیں۔
خیال رہے کہ سینٹرل بیورو آف انویسٹی گیشن (سی بی آئی) نے 17 اگست 2022 کو سال 2021-22 کے لیے ایکسائز پالیسی (شراب پالیسی) کی تشکیل اور نفاذ میں بے ضابطگیوں کا الزام لگاتے ہوئے ایک کیس درج کیا تھا۔ اسی بنیاد پر ای ڈی نے 22 اگست 2022 کو کیس درج کیا تھا۔
ای ڈی نے دعویٰ کیا تھا کہ محترمہ کویتا اور کچھ دوسرے لوگوں نے نئی شراب پالیسی سے فائدہ حاصل کرنے کے لیے عام آدمی پارٹی کے کچھ سرکردہ لیڈروں کے ساتھ مل کر ‘سازش’ کی تھی ، جس میں دہلی کے وزیر اعلی اروند کیجریوال اور سابق نائب وزیر اعلی منیش سسودیا شامل تھے۔
