کراچی: ملتان سلطانس کے اسٹار آل راؤنڈر شاہد آفریدی پیٹھ کی چوٹ کی وجہ سے متحدہ عرب امارات (یو اے ای) میں جون میں پھر سے شروع ہونے والے پاکستان سپر لیگ (پی ایس ایل) سے باہر ہو گئے ہیں۔ فرنچائزی کے مطابق آفریدی کو کراچی میں ٹریننگ کے دوران پیٹھ کے نچلے حصے میں درد محسوس ہوا تھا۔ اور ڈاکٹر نے انھیں پوری طرح آرام کرنے کی صلاح دی ہے۔
فرنچائزی نے آفریدی کی جگہ خیبربختونخوا کے باشندے لیفٹ آرم اسپنر آصف آفریدی کو ٹیم میں شامل کیا ہے لیکن شاہد آفریدی کی غیر موجودگی ملتان سطانس کے لیے ایک بڑا جھٹکا ہے۔ اس نے پی ایس ایل کے سب سے تجربہ کار کھلاڑیوں میں سے ایک کو کھو دیا ہے۔ شاہد آفریدی نے اپنے پورے کریئر میں 50 پی ایس ایل میچ کھیلے ہیں۔
ادھر پاکستن کرکٹ بورڈ (پی ایس ایل) نے کورونا پروٹوکال کی خلاف ورزی کرنے کے سبب کویٹا گلیڈیئٹرس کے تیز گیندباز نسیم شاہ کو پی ایس ایل سے معطل کر دیا ہے۔ در اصل 18 برس کے شاہ ابوظہبی روانہ ہونے سے قبل لاہور میں ٹیم ہوٹل میں پرانی کورونا نیگیٹیو رپورٹ لے کر پہنچ گئے تھے جبکہ باقی پی ایس ایل میچوں کے لیے جاری کورونا پروٹوکال کے مطابق کراچی اور لاہور سے چارٹد پراوزوں کے ذریعے ابوظہبی جانے والے تمام کھلاڑیوں کو کورونا ٹیسٹ کی تازہ رپورٹ (جو 48 گھنٹے سے زیادہ پرانی نہ ہو) لے کرآنے کے لیے کہا گیا تھا۔ اسی وجہ سے انھیں معطل کر دیا گیا ہے اور اب وہ کویٹا گلیڈیئیٹرس کے ساتھ ابو ظہبی نہیں جائیں گے۔
پی ایس ایل کے ڈٓائریکٹر اور کمرشیل سربراہ بابر حامد نے ایک بیان میں کہا،’دل پر بوجھ رکھ کر یہ فیصلہ کیا گیا ہے، لیکن اس بات پر زور دیا گیا ہے کہ پی ایس ایل میں اس بار صحت و سلامتی سے کوئی سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔
پی سی بی ایک نوجوان تیز گیندباز کو اپنے بڑے ٹورنامنٹ سے باہر کرکے اچھا محسوس نہیں کر رہا ہے لیکن اگر ہم ان کی جانب سے کی گئی خلاف ورزی کو نظر انداز کریں گے تو ہم ممکنہ طور پر انعقاد کو خطرے میں ڈال دیں گیں۔ ہم اس فیصلے کو قبول کرنے کے لیے کویٹا گلیڈیئیٹرس کی ستائش کرتے ہیں۔ یہ ثابت کرتا ہے کہ ہم سبھی پروٹوکال پر سختی سے عمل درآمد کے لیے تیار ہیں۔
